Photo by Ronnie Housley) Lach Amore Winery held ribbon-cutting ceremonies October 16, 2012 to officially open the store which began operation last winter at 1968 Chestnut Hill Road in Dandridge. Owned by Kaarin Thorfinnson, it is the oldest winery in Jefferson County. All wines are made at the facility which specializes in Italian Reds and German Whites. Fourteen different wines are available and each one is unique, made by vintner Larry Becco in 80-gallon runs. Winery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 12 noon to 6 p.m., with group tastings by appointment.
