A simplified approach to lending, and the use of cutting-edge technology throughout the loan process are the major benefits offered to customers by Republic Mortgage. The business held ribbon-cutting ceremonies at its Dandridge location last Tuesday, following opening of the office at 864 South Highway 92, in May.

Kim LeClercq, Branch Manager in Dandridge, said the company has adopted technology being used primarily on the west coast – and not currently offered in Tennessee – to make the loan process move more smoothly.

Republic Mortgage was founded in 1983, with headquarters in Utah, but recently opened branches in Knoxville and Dandridge. LeClercq, who has several years of experience in the mortgage business, manages the Dandridge branch while Jason Reeves manages the Knoxville office.

LeClercq said Republic offers several types of loans, including several 100 percent financing programs that start with a 620 credit score. They also work with traditional financing programs like FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and others.

Unlike banks and other lending institutions, Republic does not have what LeClercq calls another “overlay” of requirements.

“It’s easier for us to approve people because there aren’t other restrictions in place,” she said. “Whatever the program asks for, that’s all we require.”

All of the firm’s clients get a mobile app that shows the status of their application. Clients get alerts each step of the way.

“We really make it easy to sign your loan documents, to keep status on where the file is, and when we’re closing,” LeClercq said.

Hours for the Dandridge office are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office is located adjacent to Edward Jones.
