Tennova Healthcare Appoints New CEO at Jefferson Memorial Hospital
Tennova Healthcare announced today that Colin McRae has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jefferson Memorial Hospital, effective immediately. As CEO, McRae will oversee the day-to-day operations for the acute-care hospital in Jefferson City, Tennessee.
McRae has served as the hospital’s interim CEO since earlier this year, and previously served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville since January 2012.
“In the last two months as interim CEO, Colin has made great strides in developing relationships with associates and physicians,” said Mike Garfield, Tennova Market CEO. “Although the CEO position is a new role for Colin, he is already well oriented with the Tennova system.”
According to Garfield, Jefferson Memorial Hospital enjoys a strong presence in Jefferson County and is a key facility in the Tennova system. “I’m excited to promote someone from within Tennova and know that Colin will be a great leader for the hospital as he continues to build upon its long-standing tradition of providing the community quality healthcare.”
Prior to joining Tennova, McRae served in COO positions at two HCA facilities in Largo, Florida and Kingwood, Texas. He also previously held hospital leadership positions at HCA facilities in Houston, Texas. McRae earned his master’s degree in healthcare administration from Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia and holds a bachelor’s of science degree in economics from East Carolina University.

Colin McRae and his wife, Jodi, will be relocating their family to the Jefferson City area.
