GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – Art, music, theater, song and dance plus an abundance of audience interaction take over the NPAC stage on Tuesday, October 3rd at 7:00 PM. Witness a host of artists as they create masterpieces right before your eyes in this high energy art and music show known as ArtRAGEous.

The ArtRAGEous show is a musical journey through the decades paying tribute to a variety of art forms, icons and musical genres throughout the show. The result is a uniquely entertaining, masterpiece show culminating in a gallery of fabulous paintings. Artists will perform live, in their makeshift studios, creating portraits of these famous icons. The artist creating each portrait paints at lightning fast speed and uses their hands and brushes to create an action painting done on a giant scale that is 4x6 feet and sometimes as large as 6x6 feet!

A signature of the ArtRAGEous Troupe is interaction and engagement, so be prepared to be a part of the show! Each show is as unique as each audience and we can’t do it without you! Raffle tickets will be sold at the door for a chance to win one of the paintings created during the show.

Join the fun with ArtRAGEous at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, October 3rd at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $25 for orchestra level seating, $20 for mezzanine seating and $15 for balcony seats. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. Breast cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer-related death among women in Tennessee. Although the causes of breast cancer are still unknown, there are many factors including advancing age and family history that may increase someone’s risk for breast cancer.

“Mammograms save lives,” said Janine Mingie, director of the Tennova Breast Centers at North Knoxville Medical Center and Turkey Creek Medical Center. “Today, thanks to early detection and treatment advances, women are surviving breast cancer and living longer, healthier lives.”

For women of average risk, the American College of Radiology and Society of Breast Imaging recommend annual screening mammograms beginning at age 40. Different guidelines apply to women at higher risk. A screening mammogram can help detect breast cancer in its earliest and most treatable stages.

“The fact is that mammography is the best tool available to screen for breast cancer,” Mingie said. “At present, there are no tests to replace mammography.”

Legendary guitarist and singer-songwriter, Robert Cray, makes a return to the Niswonger Performing Arts Center on October 12th

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – Rock blues legend Robert Cray and Hi Rhythm are set to entertain at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center on Thursday, October 12th at 7:30 p.m. In just over 40 years, Cray and his band have recorded 20 studio releases, 15 of which have been on the Billboard charts, and played bars, concert halls, festivals, and sold-out arenas worldwide.

Robert Cray has earned five Grammys®, a suitcase full of W.C. Handy blues awards and four years ago, Cray was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame. He is considered to be one of the most expressive vocalists and impressive guitarists on the contemporary rhythm and blues scene drawing from R&B, rock, pop, and jazz with equal insight and authority. Cray is one of a few precious talents with the vision to successfully usher blues into the next century. Just as importantly, his immensely popular records have helped jump-start the contemporary blues boom that still is in full motion today.

A rare opportunity is in store to witness this genre defining artist again test his talent, fuse it together with that dazzling voice, and perform some of the most powerful material in his four-decade long back catalogue.
