In memory of my Mom...On September 13, 2014, I'm joining hundreds of walkers for The ALS Association's Walk to Defeat ALS®, and I need your support to make my efforts really matter!
ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, is a deadly illness with no known cause or cure. Gradually, a person is robbed of the ability to walk, speak, eat, and eventually breathe. Upon diagnosis, doctors usually give ALS patients two to five years to live.
And that's why I'm walking - for those who can't. My personal fundraising goal is $2500.
Any amount you feel comfortable giving is deeply appreciated. With your support, we can make a positive impact today in the lives of those living with ALS.
Sincerely,
Cathy Dixon

More than just a few-mile trek, the Walk to Defeat ALS® is an opportunity to bring hope to people living with ALS, to raise money for a cure, and to come together for something you care about. The Walk to Defeat ALS® is The ALS Association’s biggest annual event, which raises funds that allow our local chapters to sustain care services and support research for much of the next year.
