In this class we will discuss what you need to know if you’re considering buying a franchise. We will explore: why you want to start a business; misconceptions about franchising; what is a business model; why own a franchise; how to find the right franchise; what about the economy; and much, much more. Join us to learn the true facts about franchising and bust the myths! Jerry Bird, FranNet of Alabama & East Tennessee, will discuss how to calculate and maximize your financial returns as well as the various choices one has in realizing career independence within a franchise system. The seminar is presented by the Tennessee Small Business Development Center in cooperation with the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce and EDOC.
