Kids Crush Cancer for St. Jude

Event Description: A walkathon for St. Jude will raise funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through the Special Events for St. Jude fundraising program. St. Jude is one of the world's premier centers for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases. The event will be held on October 1 at the Jefferson County High School track. This will be a fun day including a light breakfast and a time to walk one mile on the track with friends. The event hopes to raise $5,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Children who attend elementary school in Jefferson County may obtain registration forms from their schools. Participants under age 18 must have permission from parents or legal guardians, to be indicated by the parent signature on the registration form. Walkers can raise money by asking sponsors to donate to their walks. Everyone can join the fun by coming to cheer on the walkers. Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. and the one-mile walk begins at 9:00 a.m. at Jefferson County High School track.
