Racing Legend Darrell Waltrip will be one of several drivers on Carson-Newman’s campus for a Aug. 20 benefit event.
Carson-Newman University invites race fans to start their engines for Bristol race week with a NASCAR celebrity roast featuring racing legend Darrell Waltrip.
The University will present the event benefiting The Boys and Girls Club of Dumplin Valley . In addition to Waltrip, the panel will also include drivers David Ragan, David Gilliland, Josh Wise & Michael McDowell. Attendees can bid on one-of-a-kind racing memorabilia & other sports items at a silent auction during the event.
The NASCAR Roast is in coordination with Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway race week. The Sprint Cup Series race on Saturday, Aug. 24, will feature the No. 35 Carson-Newman University Ford Fusion driven by Front Row Motorsports’ Josh Wise in partnership with Ted Russell Ford and Premier MaintenanceAbout Carson-Newman University.
