Drive started for new signage at Field of Dreams
Supporters of Dandridge’s Field of Dreams have started a
fund drive to provide a new sign for the recreational complex.
The sign that stood at the entrance to the complex was struck
by a car and damaged beyond repair. The Dandridge Recreational
Facilities (DRF) group has come up with a new sign proposal, with
design by Southern Signs, Inc., that includes a digital read-out for
necessary information. To make it happen, the group will need to
raise about $12,500 after receipt of an insurance settlement on the
destroyed sign, said DRF President Kevin Pipes.

The park has a new $2 million indoor activity center, four lighted
Little League size baseball fields, two Senior League size baseball
fields, a football field, soccer field, concession stand, restroom
facilities, volleyball court, picnic pavilion, a playground,
and threefourths of a mile of walking trail.
