Glenmore Mansion holding holiday tours
The 1869 Second-Empire Victorian Mansion, Historic Glenmore Victorian Mansion in Jefferson City is decorated for the holiday in festive greenery, bows, swags, trees and wreaths. The 15-foot parlor tree is adorned with Victorian ornaments.
OPEN: Saturday & Sunday, Dec. 8-9.
TIMES: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. & 7 p.m. to 9 p.m
ADMISSION: $5 for ages 13 to adult
$2.50 for ages 12 and under.
Hot wassail and Victorian style sweets will be served in the mansion’s dining room.
“Take a step back in time during this Christmas season and experience the hospitality, beauty and history of Glenmore and the Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities historic site listed on the National Register of historic places,” said Helen Gray, president of the Glenmore Chapter APTA.
The mansion is located in Jefferson City at 1280 North Chucky Pike,
at the corner of Chucky Pike and Old Andrew Johnson Highway,
one-half mile off Highway 11-E.
