Come Support the Tennessee Army National Guard's 190th Engineer Company
Local citizens are invited to line Highway 11-E in Jefferson City on Wednesday, April, 13th from 8:30a.m.-9:30a.m. as a send-off for local members of the 190th Engineers of the Army National Guard.
The company, composed of members of the Jefferson City and Russellville units, is preparing for a one year deployment to Afghanistan later this month.
The soldiers will leave Russellville Guard Armory at 8:00a.m., traveling up Highway 11-E to Knoxville, where they will depart for training in Wisconsin.
Jefferson County residents are encouraged to come out and cheer the soldiers as they head to McGhee-Tyson Airport. Those coming out are asked to wave flags in support.
