FREE HEALTH CARE: Remote Area Medical Clinic
Remote Area Medical® (RAM), sponsored by Shady Grove United Methodist Church of Dandridge, will hold a FREE DENTAL, VISION, & MEDICAL clinic on
Saturday and Sunday, August 4 and 5
at Jefferson County High School.
Patients will be seen on a 1st come,1st serve basis.
The high school parking lot will open at midnight on Friday night, August 3, &
patient numbers will be distributed on Saturday and Sunday mornings starting at 3:30a.m.
Clinic doors will open at 6 a.m. on both days.
Dental services include cleanings, fillings and extractions.Vision services include complete eye exams, as well as free eyeglasses made onsite for most common prescriptions (as time and supplies permit). Medical services, such as adult physicals, women’s health services, and medical consults, including pediatric exams, will be available.
Services are intended for the uninsured, underinsured, unemployed, and those who cannot afford to pay. They are provided by volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists, ophthalmologists and other trained health professionals. Remote Area Medical® (RAM) is a non-profi t, volunteer relief corps dedicated to providing free health care, dental care and eyecare.
Volunteer doctors, dentists, nurses and support workers participate in expeditions at their own expense.
