Event Description:

 
Second Annual FreedomFest
Wednesday, July 4, 2012
from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., 
Downtown White Pine

FreedomFest is a community outreach event of
Freedom Fellowship, a local church that has the desire
to help the White Pine community,
and surrounding areas, experience a day filled
with food, fellowship, family, and fun.

State Representative Jeremy Faison
and White Pine Mayor Stanley Wilder
will be on hand to help open the day and a local classic rock band,
The David Northern Band from Newport, will be performing on stage at 1 p.m.

FreedomFest will take place on the campus of
Freedom Fellowship, located at
3109 Circle Drive, downtown White Pine,

Come out & Enjoy:
* Inflatables (including two huge waterslides),
* The Famous Saw Dust Dig,
* A Corn Hole Competition,
* Water Wars (similar to laser tag)
* Freda’s gourmet hot dogs,
* The Bib Boys smoked pulled pork,
* Firecracker Pie,
* Fresh Grilled Corn,
* popcorn *cotton candy *snow cones, * refreshing drinks,
and as a special feature –
Bean & Bailey will be performing FREE to the public –
opening with FreedomSong at 6 p.m.

This year, a special silent auction will be on-going throughout the day for a favorite son of White Pine, Glenn Warren. Glenn is the Director of Parks and Recreation for
the City of White Pine & recently experienced a debilitating
stroke in May 2012. Glenn has been in therapy at
the Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center 
& is now at home with his wife and young family.
All monies raised during the silent auction
and the special dessert section
at FreedomFest will be given to
Glenn and his family to help with medical and living expenses.

There will also be several:
* carnival-type games for the kids (and adults, too), 
* face-painting, 
* balloons, 
* live music,
*Special visit by LifeStar & the Aaron’s Monster Truck.
All proceeds from the day’s activities, other than the live auction, will be used to continue
to help area residents with the several outreach
programs available through Freedom Fellowship
including Elisha’s Food Pantry, Strive Youth Ministry,
and Boys & Girls Club of Dumplin Valley.
