Event Description:

Jefferson City Fire Deparment Plans New CERT Class


The Jefferson City Fire Department is hosting is annual Spring Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) class, and participants are needed. 

The CERT Program is a nationally recognized program administered by the Citizen Corps. CERT seeks to educate people about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic disaster response skills.

Topics covered in the course include: 
* Disaster Preparedness
* Fire Safety
* Disaster Medical Operations
* Light Search and Rescue Operations
* CERT Organization
* Disaster Psychology
* Terrorism and CERT and a cumulating Disaster Simulations

Class Schedule:

Monday, April 30th - 6 PM to 10 PM
Thursday, May 3rd - 6 PM to 10 PM
Saturday, May 5th - 8 AM to 4 PM
