Walters State Community College is offering free workshops this fall to help adult learners prepare to attend under Tennessee Reconnect in fall of 2018.
This semester, the free workshops will cover reading and “The College Experience.” Attendees will be given the opportunity to take an end-of-course exam and, in the case of “The College Experience,” earn college credit. Students who improve reading skills will be able to start college-level courses without taking a learning support reading course. Learning support courses are often needed by nontraditional students who may have forgotten skills learned earlier in life.
The workshops will meet for 10 weeks.
