Jefferson Rural Clinic Hosting Fundraiser & Benefit

SCOPE OF THE EVENT: As many of us bask in the sun, enjoy barbeques and family time at the beach, a need in our community continues like a dark shadow: that of much-needed healthcare for very low-income members of our community.
As most of us know, the Jefferson Rural Clinic volunteers have provided free medical, dental and optometry services to over 5,000 low-income patients. Although this is quite a wonderful boost to our region’s level of wellness, they are not able to meet anywhere near the realm of needs. Funding constraints continue to be a reality. In spite of fabulous donated volunteer services by medical practitioners, dentists, optometrists, nurses, assistants, dietitians, office support and cherished cleaners, there are areas in which services are still needed.
To that end, the Jefferson Rural Clinic has announced that they will be hosting their first fundraiser dinner since 2011. The event will be held on Friday, August 26 at 6:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Highway 92.
The clinic is seeking willing donors to host a total of 36 tables at the event. There is no charge for the table, however, donations from guests would be very much appreciated.
The will also offer a silent auction that will feature gifts and gift certificates from some Jefferson Counties most popular restaurants and businesses.
